It has to be The Wizard Of Oz, people don't realize how revolutionary that movie was, the special effects; in the 1930's, nothing had ever been done like that. And yet, it wasn't a blockbuster until the second release. We grew up with The Wizard, every year we would wait for the replay. In those days it was only played once a year, but each time we would find something different that we had missed. The imagination of that movie will never be matched!

I hate to be a sap, but I really love "The Shawshank Redemption". Everybody is cast so perfectly in the movie, form the leads to the bit parts. The only slight caveat I have is the slow ending, it's a bit tedious.

Peggy Sue Got Married because it was mostly set in a time when things were much simpler: drugs, politics, diseases etc.

Dr. Zhivago - awesome music and scenery, good history content, long (I love long movies), and a beautiful tragic love story.

"To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar."
Great cast (esp. John Leguzzamo), makes me laugh, and has a bit of everything (revenge, good will towards others, dancing, and men in drag)
