Ever eaten a hot dog?

Chances are you've eaten pig brains. Probably cow too.

Best not to think about what goes into those things.

Nothing specifically wrong with brains, it's just a gross thought to our western minds.

Bears rely on the fat rich brains of spawning salmon to put on their winter weight to help get them through the winter.

It's not a good idea to eat human brains though. To much chance of interspecies diseases like kuru, or Kruitzfeld-Jackob's disease (which I probably spelled wrong). Mad cow, or bovine spongiform encephalopathy is a mild, cow based form of the same disease. Basically, rogue protein prions riddle your brain with shredded holes like Swiss cheese. Not fun.

So, just in case you were thinking about doing it, don't eat human brains.

Yes you can eat brain- it is nutritious being high in protein and trace minerals.

Many people do especially in the Arctic or desert regions where food could be scarce. Whole sheep's head is a Turkish delicacy.

If you have a cat you have been probably feeding it brain all this time without realising.

my grandmother use to fry up calf brains.
sort of like scrambled eggs I suppose.
I hope I never tried them.

You'd be surprised what parts of the animal people eat. Blah!
