I had spotting off and on for the 1st month then it straightened out...but you may want to call your Dr. on Monday to make sure she doesn't want to check on you.

Usually the spotting is light (flow). The coloring of it can be light brown, red or pink(age) in color. The doctor is already expecting this so you should be fine. You should be worried if you hemorrhage (extreme bleeding). However spotting can also occur if the pill is not taken correctly ( needs to be taken at the same time everyday ). Also, spotting doesn't always occurr, however if it does it is due to horomonal changes that are taking place while your body adjusts. Usually you will only spot a couple of times (if you spot at all). It is not like having your monthly menstrual cycle. Use a pantyliner for the first few days or if spotting occurs. You should be fine, no worries! If you have any problems check back with your Dr.

Do call your doctor.

When you do, be prepared to say how often you spot, when it started, for how long, and how much.

No one can tell you if this is normal because you don't say when you started the pill, how long you are on it, and how old you are.

We do not have crystal balls out here.

who told you about spotting. I never had spotting. I would go and see your doctor, you could have the wrong strength. This does not sound normal.

Spotting shouldn't last for more than a month. If it does, I would ask for a different brand or strength.

I stopped taking birth control since it never provided any type of control. I was taking it to keep everything regular, never have been pregnant, yet it never was control. Use flaxseed if you just want to have a normal period. Flaxseed balances hormones and is not a contraceptive.

It could take several "cycles" to regulate your body. Certainly speak to your DR. if you have any concerns.
