I like the promise ring idea...
Buying stuff from wal-mart messes with my concious, for some reason the voice inside my head says "oh, what you care about her so much you go to wal-mart to buy her jewelry?!" yeah, i know its wrong thinking, but cheers to conciousness.

IMO as young as you both are, a diamond rind is a little extravagant. The silver bracelet sounds like a good idea. My daughter is 15 and her boyfriend is 17, they have been dating for a couple of years, and the presents that she likes the most that he has gotten her are the ones that are not very expensive, but yet they are very special and meaningful. For instance, a cute teddy bear, a charm bracelet, perfume, ect. Bath and body works stuff is also a good idea. If you REALLY like this girl, and want to buy her a ring, and you all are seeing each other exclusively, you may want to consider buying her a "promise ring." The price range can be anywhere from, say, $50 up to $200 depending on the size of the diamond. Promise rings are like a pre-engagement ring. You give them as a token that you care deeply for her and maybe one day, when you're older, may want to spend the rest of your lives together. Girls SWOON over promise rings. My daughter's boyfriend is going away to college next year, so he decided to get one for her for Christmas. She is very excited. Those are a few ideas, hope that it helped.

You guys are too young for you to be getting her a diamond ring or even a silver bracelet. I suggest a cute heart locket necklace. Nothing too expensive or wild. Just a simple heart locket, maybe like 14 karat gold-plated.

This would be a great present because it is a little more romantic than bath and body works stuff, but not too mature. Plus whenever she looks at it she will think of you and it will always be close to her heart.

The Promise Ring idea is really cute, but maybe it would be better once you guys have been together for a while longer. If you're the musician type, maybe you could write her a song. She'd love that.

If not I would suggest something thoughtful like a charm bracelet. You can buy her new charms for every special occasion you share together. And the bath and body works idea is still good.

Is there a Sephora where you live? They do a great gift set for $45. It contains ten samples of nice perfumes, plus a gift certificate that allows her to go to a Sephora store and get one full-sized bottle of any of the sample perfumes. It's all very grown-up, sophisticated and elegant. You can buy the certificate online BUT the certificate must be redeemed in-store. See the first link for the gift set and the second link to find out if there is a Sephora in your city.

You're way too young to be spending a lot of money on a diamond ring. Since she's 13 she'd probably like something from bath and bodyworks or even some type of clothing so when she wears it she'll always remember you got it for her. Happy Holidays!

Stay away from expensive jewelry (the diamond ring especially is a bad idea)

No diamonds unless you are proposing... a girl's first diamond should be her engagement ring, so don't go that elaborate. Especially since she is so young.

I will give ya some advice, remember girls do not like clothes from boys for Christmas, give them jewelry, makeup, flowers, maybe some candy, sweets hidden in the bouquet, just give something really nice.
