No, the aircraft still exists (although it has been broken down into sections and is in storage).

As other above note, the aircraft is the B-29 bomber that dropped the first atomic bomb during WWII. After the war, it was decommissioned and put into storage at Davis-Monthan airbase in Tucson (the 'boneyard'). In 1949, the aircraft was given to the Smithsonian Museum which had it deassembled and put into storage at the Garber storage and restoration facility in Suitland, Maryland.

The front part of the aircraft was actually on display at the air and space museum from 1995 to 1998, but is now entirely back in storage.
