The above answers about supply and demand are correct. People are not paid according to how many years they were educated. As a consumer I care about what someone can do for me, I don't care about how many years they spent as students.

Another way to look at it: a movie star delivers a valuable service to millions of paying customers at a time. There is a lot of money to collect when you add it all up. A doctor delivers a valuable service to only one person at a time ... maybe a few people a day. Huge difference in scale.

If it makes you feel better, remember that ANYONE who makes it through medical school and related training is virtually guaranteed to make a good living. On the other hand, the vast majority of would-be actors who spend years studying and training and struggling will never make enough money to live on, and finally have to give up in frustration, having wasted their best years.

Its simply govern by the rulle of demand supply.You can find plenty of doctors/engineers in comparision to Artist. By the way you are just talking about MK hussain or few world reputed artist. There are so many unknnow arist who are still looking for a permanent career.

Probably for the same reason people will shell out hundreds of dollars to go to a professional sporting event but whine and moan when they have to pay anything more than the $25 copay at the doctor.
