im thinking of buying a wii and i was wondering if it could play the gamecube games

Yes, it can, but you need a gamecube controller.

Also, you can download games through the Internet for a bunch of older systems (nes, snes, n64, gamecube, genesis, neo-geo, i think that's all). last time i looked, it was about 5 to 10 bucks each for these downloads. they dont have every game on it yet, but it appears to be growing.

I think there is a specific controller out for the wii that's supposed to work with gamecube and the downloadable games too. if you go to nintendo.com you can see all this stuff.

NO, it can barely play Wii games, it sucks, its a rip off, I got one and it broke on the first day and it can't load worth a crap anyways! Oh yeah, they won't let you turn it in if it breaks within the first days
