3 weeks ago i passed 2-3 large bowel movements that required straining with discomfort. ever since then, i get a sense that my prostate was inflammed or irritated. i have had some enlargement (or perceived enlargement) along with a frequent need to urinate and a feeling as if my further bowel movements were 'incomplete'. i have also had some trouble with premature ejaculation since then. i have had no blockage problems with urinating, but sometimes i 'drip' afterwards. the overall problem seems to subside when i do not have a bowel movement and grows worse again after i do.
upping my weekly dose of saw palmetto has helped, and
i think the problem is getting somewhat better. so what gives here? does anyone have an idea?
i am unsure if what i am feeling is prostate or hemmeroid related.
btw, i am an otherwise healthy, fit, 40-year-old heterosexual male.

Straining when having a bowel movement will only lead to hemorrhoids as time goes bye. You need more fiber in your diet. Metamucil is a good source of fiber and it will stop the need to strain when having a bowel movement.

Yes, a hard stool can inflame the prostate which can cause a burning sensation in both the rectum and penis. If prostatitis is the problem you should probably avoid caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods and acidic fruits*. Drink more water. Take a NAISD (ibuprofen or aspirin)** to ease the inflammation. Avoid prolonged sitting if possible. Also consider taking some saw palmetto*** which is supposedly good for shrinking the prostate if it is enlarged or inflamed. Hopefully you will feel better in about a week or two.

* Some people say cranberry juice (unsweetened) is good for the prostate even though it is certainly acidic.
** Tylenol is not an NSAID.
*** Do not take saw palmetto if you're taking a blood thinner. Also, if you're taking a NSAID it might be best not to take it at the same time as both can hinder normal blood clotting.

Straining for a bowel movement is never a good thing. Drink more water. The lack of water makes a stool hard and difficult to pass. Use a lubricating stimulant like Fleet suppositories. They will soften stool and allow easier passage.

Your current problem is most the dreaded 'roids.

Hemorrhoids are associated with constipation and straining at bowel movements. How to get rid of hemorrhoids https://tr.im/nPHYV
Pregnancy is also associated with hemorrhoids. These conditions lead to increased pressure within the hemorrhoidal veins that causes them to swell. Other conditions, for example chronic liver disease, may also cause increased venous pressure and may be associated with hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are very common and are estimated to occur in up to one-half of the population by age 50.

Luckly this is a great solution for premature ejaculation http://EndPrematureEjaculation.enle.info/?zBDn

A guy always cums fast when its their first time. and especially if he's been waiting for a long time. Guys are erect at least 5 times a day so what I would do is some foreplay until he ejaculates or the both of you for that matter its not fair that he has orgasms and you don't so get him to do you first and then once you finish he will be more than ready for his orgasm. then use a condom because that cuts down the sensations for him if he feels he is about to come prematurely then tell him to come out and do some more foreplay on you so he has time to calm down. the condom should work but if you want a baby tell him to take the condom of before ejaculation and then finish in you. the longer you wait to make him come with foreplay the quiker it will be because he has to get it out of him.

He also does need time because you are the only one he has been with so once he gets used to it, you can really enjoy it once he gets his techniques down pat. Tell him what you like. Get some books and videos also until you both are experienced. Or you could even have a quickie in the morning, when you get home and then at night. he will diffently last longer because his mind has been free twice already. You get on top of him and you control the situation. Also my boyfriend tells me that he thinks about none sexual things for a while to help control him, tell him to think about a sport or something that calms him. If that doesn't work then just do IT over until you are satisfied
