If you can stand to wait a week or two, I wouldn't. I got one today with a pretty minimal effort. Unless you live in the boonies, you should be able to just walk in a store and get one pretty soon. I did.
If you can't wait that long, camp overnight. But don't be supprised if they didn't get any shipment. The shipment I got mine off came in the late morning. (It was still cold! Freshness Gaurnteed!)

I say don't buy one yet. Wait till next summer. The first gen systems always have problems. X-Box had a software conflict with DVD playback and games. PS2 had bay problems. XBOX 360 melts discs, and who knows what screw-ups PS3 and WII are going to have .

check out ebay, they are not selling at a high mark up.
