I do not think so since the players make good money thro' their sponsorship arrangements with the corporates. Therefore money linked to performance will not work as much of a motivator for the Indian cricketers.
If the Indians can get rid off their foreign coach and practice more, their game will improve. The batsmen should also remove their weaknesses which are exploited by the opposition.
Why cannot we prepare some bouncy pitches in India where players can play (maybe during the domestic games) and then fare better on similar pitches abroad.

NO,

Real solution is,

Define performace on batting and balling, like Shri DRAVID / RAVI Shastri will play 100 balls to make 10 runs. It is (negative) -100 out of 100 marks. And then

(A)
FOR PLAYERS:

1)
[Pay - kick back ] be proportional.
( if negative take money back from the player)

and

2)
the best performer of the match will be the captain in the next match ie rolling captain.

if the team is defeated

2 worst performer from batting
2 worst performer from bowling
1 all rounder ( if not performed well)
1 wicket keeper ( if not performed well)

shall be changed without any argument by any political parties.

(B)
FOR
COACH,
SELECTOR,
BCCI,

1)
if the team win the test/ ODI series it will continue

2)
if the team loose the test/ ODI series new CAPABLE will step in and all in the capacity of

COACH,
SELECTOR,
BCCI

shall be changed without any argument by any political parties.

No that may not help because what they earn from on field performance (playing for India) is peanuts compared to what they earn from off the field performances ( endorsements or ads). I think they must have seen the Jobs ads - Working for peanuts, it's time for a change of job.

Do you think our players are not performing because they achieved stardom. I don't think so, problem with Indian players is their mind set up. They all are lacking due to smart professionals back up. A players job is to play the match and win the match. Players are doing their job by performing and non-performing. Non-performers need to be rotated with available talent and performers to be boosted with better future prospect.

Indian team needs badly few good professionals as consultant. We need to pick few more good match viewers with sharpen minds. A bunch of good professionals can advice team strategy and opponent teams strength and weakness.
Our coach is doing his job by coaching and his tips. Greg Chappel failed to provide better strategy. We can understand his pressure for every match.

Not exactly. But still it can be linked to performance.
We can fix 60-75 % of what they get now,as the basic minimum amount.
We can have a points system for the performance and giving incentive for the points earned.
We can award points for:
1.balls faced, runs scored(and rate of runs per ball in ODIs)
2.balls bowled,no of dot balls, wickets taken(here the bowlers can be given credit for dropped catches also, but not for missed catches.)
3.catches held,run-outs,stumpings,runs saved by chasing/diving on the boundary line.
And bonus for wins
For the time being, let us not look at the negative side like dropped catches, no balls, wides etc.
.Hope the above will do justice to performance.

May be this will improve upto 30% of our team's performance....
but still we need a drastic change in our team's performance.......this will happen only when our players realise that they need to do well in all batting, bowling and fielding department...
This is possible only by practising more and more and knowing to handle all types of bowling in all pitches.....This lies in the hands of our Coach and captain....Lets hope atleast now our team should play well.......!!!!

well..though i am a big fan of team india...but for me only thing tht will help india perofrming is ad companies taking back their contracts form the players....then i think these players realise their value...these players are taking their place for granted primarily this is one of the reason....as they r big stars now...ad companies are signing them....thts wht these players r thinking....secondly these players r taking their place for granted...no1 can replace them...had these players had been in australia..these players would have been kicked out...espicially the younger players....for me personally, to a certain extent...this policy is good....if u perform u get paid..otherwise they are out of the team...i think by this time...team india should realise tht u cant be in the team just bcoz of ur star status...u have to perform to be there in the team....and now dilip wengsarkar is going to south africa...i am sure he will say something sensible tht india get motivated to perform....if india goes on performing like this...then world cup is a distant dream

That is one solution; I believe that we don't have a proper selection procedure. Look at the way Raina was at the crease. One could see that he was scared of the bowlers from ball 1. So is Kaif. In a population of a billion people, can't we find 15 people with killer insticts? Odd, isn't it?
