I want to have easy work hours, no night calls. I am an MD as of now, but might start fellowship. Is there any way this is possible? will any other degree help in having such a lifestyle?

1. Surgical assistant. No insurance premium worries. Decent salary. Possible call.

2. Teach community college / small university. Teach anatomy and/or physiology to allied health students.

3. Tailor your physician practice. If you join a health system, sometimes you can request outpatient only (no hospital duties) and hours that you like.

Teaching at a University would be and option. Another possiblity would be to work at a Convelesant center (Retirment Home). Mainly the doctors work during the day and rotate calls for nights during the week. Maybe start a small practice in a small neigborhood. It depends on your area of expertise!

Is this for real?
I didn't know there was an easier way of making money than being a doctor?
Here's an idea, you're going to be making enough money to just work 10 hours a week if you want and still have a good standard of living.
But, this just doesn't sound like something an MD would be asking.
