They could call her that as a nickname for Lucinda. I think she'll hate the name when she's old enough to go to school!!!!

Personally, I wouldn't name my kid Lulu as a full name. It's really cute for a nickname. They should come up with something else and just use Lulu as a nickname because the kid might hate that name as she grows up. But, if it's just a nickname, she doesnt have to worry about it.

I think it is fabulous as a nickname, but I like having "real" full names. What about Lucy or Lucille as the official name and just always call her LuLu?

PS I just named my new Yorkie Lucy and LuLu for short!

My Great Grandmother's name was Lulu. Seriously, no joke. So, I like that name, because she was a wonderful lady. It is a little dated, though. Their daughter may find herself the subject of many jokes when she starts school.

I think it's ridiculous. How could she be taken seriously as an adult with a name like that? Lulu Smith, attorney at law. . .or Lulu Jones reporting for Channel 5? Sounds childish or like a hooker. I'd encourage your cousin to rethink that one.

I don't like LuLu for a first name. I think the kids may make fun of her in school. Kids are so mean. Maybe LeeLee or Le A

ummm it's nice as a nickname but imagine when she's 60 and people call her Lulu....isn't that a little wierd....or when her parents yell at her or call her to the dinner table, they are going to be SINGING her name: luluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...........i mean come on....tht's wierd......i would never name my child that for a full name...nickname sure, full name- definitely not.....she's gonna have that 'cheerleader preppy' type of name and i can just imagine her growing up to be something totally opposite of that and get teased for it......get ready for a 2nd cuz named LULU!!!

happy holidays! :)

Lulu as you say is cute. She migh tbe quite horrified though in years to come when she isn't taken too seriously in Business. I can see her changing it to Louise as she gets older.

I agree with the others, let her have Louise to fall back on in later life, and nickname her Lulu for childhood. If she likes it she will retain it. :)

Lulu is cute. Some of the other names out there are pretty horrendous in comparison.

No may be something else or keep that name. Or extend it. Here's one:Luvesavonie.Pronounced:(Lu-wesa-von-e). The nick name could be LuLu.Or get a middle name and a first name LuLu.
