Nobody wins.
The last time we "won" we had to kill hundreds of thousands of civilians in both Germany and Japan. If our self-styled leadership wants to go big, and basically exterminate one of the Muslim factions in Iraq, we could slow things down for a short while, and bring our kids home.
Then we could send the chairborne rangers (see above) over and let them flap their gums at the Iraqis. Nothing like tough talk from a bunch of wimpy kids to set things straight, you bet!

When we let the military do its job and stop politicians from interfering.
The Korean war was won, that's why there is a North Korea and South Korea. The Vietnam conflict ended in a ceasefire, then the US pulled out, then the democratic congress stopped all assistance to South Vietnam, then North Vietnam broke the ceasefire. Persian gulf war was won. The part of the Iraq war where we let the military do its job was won, remember shack and awe? The problem is now is that our politicians have tried to make our military act as police and have implemented rules of engagement that prevent them from doing their job.

when we fight wars that directly effect the people of america instead of the financial wellbeing of big businesses. Vietnam, Iraq fought for oil.

USA lost the war with Viet Nam and North Korea after losing many lives. It was to protect the south Viet Nam and South Korea. Now it is to protect Sunni and Shiit from killing each other and it still isn't working. I say stay home and let everyone else fight there own battles.

This is in response to Common Sense post - what do you call Vietnam?
We aren't in a war. Iraq, which is in civil war, is being occupied by US soldiers, but the 'war' was over when 1) no wmd were found, and 2) Saddam was captured. The only reason we have 140,000 troops there now is because W is getting ready to do Iran and Syria.

just to clear things up ladies we (Americans) have never lost a war I am a Viet Nam Vet and we didnt lose that one either we were ordered to pull out, sounds like someone needs to brush up on their history class'.
Iraq is about to turn out the same way as Viet Nam if we dont watch out, the politicians are wanting to pull us out instead of changing the rules of engagement where we can be more effective, sounds like they didnt learn anything from Vietnam either.

What wars are you referring to? America has not won a war since WWII, and before everybody gets their gander up, think about it. We are talking wars, declared wars. Not a police action in Korea, not the advisory expedition in Vietnam, etc.
