He's not a hero, but from Tom Green's point of view, and I agree here:
Meanwhile, Tom Green, a comedian who's often been criticized for his own twisted humor, says Richards is being unfairly trashed, the New York Post reported Friday.

"Anybody in that room . . . would have had just cause to have gotten up onstage that night and punched Michael Richards right in the [bleep]ing face . . . [Bleep], dude. Kramer [bleep]ing lost it. But at the end of the day, I don't think Michael Richards is a racist," Green writes on his blog.

"Unlike Mel Gibson, who probably does hold racist attitudes, I don't think Michael Richards doesn't like black people. I think he was just trying to say the craziest and most vile thing in that room he could possibly muster. And I think he dug deep, into the darkest corners of his mind, to say those evil things to those men. But he did it in a small room, in an exchange, during a performance, and it wasn't meant for us. It was just meant for that room. So why don't we just let them settle it? . . . Let's leave Michael Richards alone."

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

My devil's advocate question here: what if a black person called a white person a cracker/honkey/whitey, etc? Whats the difference??

People like to ignore the fact that the person in the audience made racist comments to Michael Richards, and that he retorted back with equally racist comments. Both guys should be ashamed for falling victim to stupidity. Trying to play this off as some kind of one sided racist situation is ridiculous, both men were racist. And as the saying goes, "people who live in glass houses should not throw rocks". Nobody is a hero here!

It's all so pathetic. Who gives a rats @$$ if he called a n*ggar a n*ggar!?! I get called a fat ***** now and again too, you don't see me boo-hoo-ing over it. All people are entitled to say whatever they wish rather it's right or wrong. And believe it or not, there are worse things that a person could be besides a "racist" like a mass murderer or a child molester. People need to get over it!!!
I mean, what was the guy in the audience behaving like? And there you have it. Yeah, two wrongs don't make a right, but it's is not as big of a deal as people want to blow it up to be.

He did nothing to classify him as any type of a hero. He's lucky he was not harmed by the crowd there.

bigotry should no be tolerated. And using the n word like that, is inexcusable. Although he made racists comments, I do think black people, or anyone for that matter shouldn't use that word. Double-standard need not apply please!!

If somebody heckled me for ten minutes and when I asked him to please sit down and be quiet then he told me to "sit your cracker a** down" I would do the same . The media doesn't tell you that part.
