Wow deep question Depends somethings are sacred to some people but to others not so that raises the question does every person have to count an object or idea sacred for it to be sacred?

Sorry.
No.
Nothing ever was.
I mean who's less holy than the neo-con right-
wingers, and they claim to be holier than anybody?
Everybody has things they don''t want messed with.
But we are two hundred years past where really
religious people went into monasteries,
where they belong according to them and to us.
And the phrase "what's sacred" meant exactly
that--something you'd die for or
didn't want to see changed, in a big way,
by disrespectful types.
No respect by would be public-interest
imperial presidents and their sold out cronies--
nothing sacred anyway.

It's just like beauty, as in "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Sacred also is in the eye of the beholder. No one can say to another what is sacred, except to him-herself.

I guess it depends on your definition of sacred and if it was ever held sacred in the first place...yet to answer your question...sacredness seems to slip away more and more each day...so yes and hopefully we will not reach a no someday.

I think people... pretend to be someone they're not in public because society has changed and demands change in its people.
However, i really do believe that there are things that remain sacred in the hearts of many people.
But it almost appears as though that's not allowed.
If you say you believe in God, you get shot down.
If you say you don't believe in God, you get shot down.
If you say you're not going to have sex until marriage, you're called a prude.
If you say you're going to have sex a lot, you're called a s l u t.
There's no winning.

Not since they made Mary out of cow dung and called it art.
And called you a racist if you disagreed.
