My favorite would have to be Dirty Dancing. I love the soundtrack and the chemistry (despite the fact that Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey supposedly hated one another). My favorite part of nearly every movie would have to be the last scene with everybody dancing! But one time I was watching it with my parents and our speakers weren't all set up so the soundtrack wasn't playing, let's just say that the part with everyone dancing in the employee rec room thing is really awkward without the music...
I also love The Sure Thing. It's before all John Cusack's other classic 80's movies (Say Anything, Better Off Dead..) but I love it! It's hilarious and romantic and Rob Reiner is basically a movie making genius. I know so many people that have never heard of this movie but I think it's a classic!
PS: I'm watching The Breakfast Club on ABC Family right now!

I have to admit I enjoy those Brat Pack movies like 16 candles and Breakfast Club as well. But my absolute favorite 80's movie is The Lost Boys!
PS To the answer given as Encino Man. That film came out in the early 90's not 80's.

While I am a big "Ferris Bueller's" fan, my favorite 80s film was "Raiders of the Lost Ark." The blend of action and adventure with a little comedic spice was just about perfect. Who didn't want to be Indiana Jones in 1981?

This sounds cliche but my fave was and still is, "Dirty Dancing".
I'd always fantasised myself as the character, "Baby (Frances)" to Patrick Swayze's "Johnny=)
Everything 'bout that movie was awesome down to the music, choreography, etc.
My other favorite is, "Big" which starred a young Tom Hanks - classic.
