Repudiation of a contract can only occur after a contract has been made, it is not the same as not signing one in the first place.

It takes effect when an action contrary to the contract occurs. For example, I order a minicab for 7pm. At 6.50 the minicab company rings up and says they cannot send one. The repudiation occurs when they say they will not do what they promised to do.

Because in this example no "consideration" (dosh) has changed hands I have no recourse, but that doesn't change the principle. If I had paid a deposit, then I would have recourse at least to have my deposit returned and possibly for the full cost of replacing the contracted and repudiated cab trip.

depending on what your contract is about...usually repudiation means you refuse to pay, i.e. you go into default. It could also mean you either reject the contract or you reject part of the contract and refuse to sign it.
