The first time I got it I didn't even know it happened and my mom/brothers/sisters were in London, but somehow I naturally knew what to do. After a couple of months, I got horrible craps for the first two days of my period (and I still do), so I take Midol. It works wonders for cramps.

For me no. But after a few years (one or two might do it) you will get in the swing. If you get bad cramps, and you can tell you are about to get your period... run, go run a mile, exercise will reduce the cramping pain. Cramps aren't that horrible, unless you are one of those lucky women who think they are going to have a baby their cramps are so bad. Usually cramps are just like when you eat really greasy pizza and you gotta go, if you know what I'm talking about.
And for me, about 4 days into my period my crotch feels a little sore, but that's about it.

Well, unless you're one of those lucky women who doesn't experience menstrual cramps, any period can come with some discomfort. However, I don't think it's really all that bad. Just take some tylenol or something and get plenty of rest. Also, drinking lots of water and exercise helps with menstrual discomfort.

Didn't hurt me any. Didn't even have cramps until after I had two or three kids. Guess it depends on the individual.

The only pain I feel are the awful menstrual cramps almost every woman gets. They can be quite painful, especially when my period begins.
