Watching TV
Listening to Depeche Mode
Brushing my hair
Sleeping
And drawing

Friends, family, love, fun things, laughing, beauty, exploring, sports, eating, holidays, sex, wisdom, doing things for others, teaching your children, having a good interesting career, challenges, and doing fun things.
If there is a meaning to life, it is unique to you. For me, I have a wife and two kids and an interesting job serving the seriously downtrodden (I'm a public defender). I'm not always happy. I found out yesterday I'm being sued by a client, someone I tried to help, and who didn't like what I had to say to him when I explained the situation he was in. It's a frivolous lawsuit, but I'm very worried and depressed over it. Of course, it'll go away. But I look at my kids and see their smiles and laughter and hold them and kiss them and love them and I love my wife and so forth; there is God in that.
One day we will all die. Me. My wife. My kids. Maybe there is no afterlife. I hope for one. But there is that list I mentioned above. While you work on that list, life is fulfilled and illness, depression, and death cannot take away the fulfillment that went before.
Count your blessings. If you do that, you will find even more blessings later. That's what I think life is all about.

The purpose of life deals with the care and nurturing of your soul. Everything you do, everything you say, every thought you have all affects your soul. So the soul is the sum product of your life.
Therefore, the proper nurturing of the soul is what you should be concerned about. And that entails, seeking truth, practicing love and relishing everything in the world that is beautiful. This will bring true enlightenment.
