Hmm. Good Question. Obviously a subjective one, but it got me thinking.
In 21st C. America:
Women have a longer life expectancy. Although the difference is shrinking. This is typically attributed to the fact that it has been considered "unladylike" to drink and smoke, therfore this form of oppression has actually increased women's lifespan.
Women make $0.75 for every dollar a man in the same position makes. Now excuse me for a minute when I say WTF? That is a big deal.
Women are prettier and maybe that gets them some priveledges. They get a cheaper cover at clubs. Usually the privelege of and associated with getting to sleep with a man. Well, you have to ask who all benefits from the priveledge? I think men do too.
Women also get charged more for auto repairs than men. The auto shops are trying hard to fix this bias, but it still exists.
There is some evidence for everyone to start thinking a little more.

what an awesome question! My view is that, gender has nothing to do with the quality of life. The factors are mentality, physicals, circumstances or environment. If you put a man and a woman to slug it out in a boxing ring , things will be easier for the woman if the man has only one arm. If there is an open gender competition to select the most feminine voice, things will be tough for the man even if he is a gay!. Stuff like that , and there is no end to it.

Men Are Just Happier People--
What do you expect from such simple creatures? Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours. Wedding plans take care of themselves. Chocolate is just another snack. You can be President. You can never be pregnant. You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park. You can wear NO shirt to a water park. Car mechanics tell you the truth. The world is your urinal. You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky. You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt. Same work, more pay. Wrinkles add character. Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100. People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them. The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected. New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet. One mood all the time. Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. You know stuff about tanks. A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase. You can open all your own jars. You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness. If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend. Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack. Three pairs of shoes are more than enough. You almost never have strap problems in public. You are unable to see
wrinkles in your clothes. Everything on your face stays its
original color. The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. You only have to shave your face and neck. You can play with toys all your life. Your belly usually hides your big hips. One wallet and one pair of shoes one color for all seasons. You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look. You can "do" your nails with a
pocket knife. You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache. You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes. lmao

Depends on what you mean by easier. The challenges that men face are much different than what women face.

Wow, what a question!!! Very thought provoking! I actually never sat down and thought of that, but I guess I'd have to say that based on society, a man would have an easier life if he applies himself. He has more opportunity and he can't get pregnant. And....I'm going to think on that some more. Thanks for a great brain teaser! Godloveya.

That's an individual thing...men have it (generally) easier in some areas than others...as do women...but overall both have problems and challenges to overcome...
Life isn't easy for most people...male or female...

For me neither. Cause men needs to work hard to support for his family. Sometimes women works hard too to support her family if her husband is lazy or dead already. There is no easy life if you want to leave happily.

neither overall but if you want to get technical, It's tough being a girl. We give birth, we sometimes make less money, we get periods, we have orfices that really need TLC, We wear highheels which are so unkind, we get eye ****** by creepy construction workers and homeless people just on our way home. IT goes on forever and I mean I'm sure guys have it rough in different ways but come on... cramps.
