in case you mandatory a telephone for emergency i might cautioned alltel and their uprepaid service. It in basic terms expenses 15 cents consistent with minute and it by no ability expires. jointly as you will pay somewhat extra up front i think of around 50 money to get began. this is plenty extra value-effective in the long-term. additionally it has a plenty wider coverage area then tracphone or cingular.

Katie, it depends on the coverage in your area. I could say Cingular is the best, but it's only because they have good coverage in my area whereas Nextel, for example, has terrible coverage. But many people love Nextel in other areas.

Talk to your friends and co-workers (in your area) and see what kind they have and how their coverage is. That will be a good indicator of who you should go with.

id recommend a tracfone, they dont charge you for just having the phone while other prepay phones can charge up to a dollar a day just to have your phone active, plus with a tracfone you only need to buy minutes every two months vrs. every month
