take a wire coat hanger and bend it to be as straight as possible.

use one end to stick into the little hole on the outside handle of your bedroom door.

you should hit a little switch inside that hole and the door should snap open.

Well, I'm assuming that it doesn't have the little hole in the middle and that the hinges are on the other side, right? The easiest way is to get a hammer if you have one and simply beat off the door knob and then you will see the little latch and you can open it with almost anything. Note: if the knob comes off and the round plate stays in place then you'll need to pry that off with a screwdriver or something first.Doorknobs are a lot cheaper to replace than a whole door . PS: If none of these answers work for you then you can always get out the old trusty chainsaw.

This question doesn't make any sense.

How could you lock a door without hinges?? It wouldn't be a door if it didn't have hinges because it needs something to swing in to get closed in the first place.

Unless you took the existing henge's off the door which in that case the door wouldn't be stable and would fall out of the area it is in.

Well i would suggest you using the door handle.
You didn't mention locking it with a key you only said a door without henge's.

Hey is this meant to be riddle or an actual question where you have got yourself into difficulties?
Please elaborate I'm interested now.

OK WELL I HAVE JUST READ YOUR EDITIONS
.........AND MY SUGGESTION WOULD BE:
................................. to unsrew the door lock.

There wont be any damage to the lock, door or your house.
Once you have unsrewed the actual lock where the door nob is, it should come off with ease allowing the door to open.
Then you can srew the door lock part back on and no one ever need to know what had happened.

Have i helped??

You can use a knife and slide it between the door frame where the door latched and kind of dig it into the metal part that latcehs the door and push it to the left.
Also, it you can, try to take the whole door knob off, which will allow you to open it.
If it's on the ground floor you can try to climb in a window if they're unlocked.
Or call a locksmith.

Well it's been three hours you've probably unlocked it kicked it down or your dads home but if not take a screw driver or butter knife and pry the trim loose on the door so that you can get something flat like your butter knife in the crack and slide in about the center of the door knob and it should come open.

Depends on the urgency.

If you think there is a child in danger. Break the door down. you can always replace the door. Not so easy to replace the child.

The door know will have screws on one side. Check to see if they are on your side.

You can use a credit card (or something similar) to pry the door jam open so it opens.

Finally.. forget the door. Any bedroom will have a 2nd way in.out. Check to see if the window is open. You can access the room and open the door from the other side.

I always lock my bedroom door when I leave my house because I don't want people messing with my crap. You can take a nail or a hangar and push it in the hole on the other side and pop the lock, if you have a different type of lock I don't know what to tell you!!

Oh honey, are you locked in or out? You can try the old credit card trick, or you can take the handle off of the door.

Good Luck!

Just wondering if you have ever heard the Violent Femmes track where one of the guys is locked inside his house...it's rather funny!

You need a flat head eyeglass screwdriver to unlock them. Insert the screwdriver into the little hole in the handle and slowly turn it till you hear a click. The door is now unlocked.

There should be a key hold of some sort. If you have some fo the modern doors, it looks like a little hole. A stiff piece of wire could unlatch it
