What comes to mind to me as a Canadian is our French Province of Quebec firstly and then France next. Montreal is in that province and is a major Canadian city of many cultures, mostly French with all the real France items and foods etc. available. Next I think of French restaurants I have attended in my many years. Also, the French Foreign Legion, which was in Africa and other places many years ago and reflected in the movie Beau Geste starring Cary Grant.Also, Vietnam, where the French were fighting the Communists until the Americans came in and lost as did the French.

French? Definitely Paris and The Louvre, the huge museum with a glass pyramid in front, and such classics inside such as The Mona Lisa and Madonna of Rocks.

I think of my good friend who is French. I also think of Paris, the Seine river, the Notre Dame Cathedral, sidewalk art, cafes, the Tour de France bike race, French cooking, the Louvre, crazy drivers in tiny cars.
