Describe how much you loved your old mp3 player. tell her you would buy a case to hide the fact that its an ipod, and you will be careful where you bring it. tell her the 30gb video ipod dropped $50, which is now the same price as a nano, but it holds soooo much more!

be smart about it, print out all the facts. Circuit City.com has good customer reviews, compare, make it look like you have done your research!

hope it works out for ya, i love my ipod, i don't know what i would do without it

You may not like my answer...

Earn it. Do extra chores around the house WITHOUT being asked to do them. When you are asked, do them right away without saying, "I'm on the phone", or "I'm watching TV", or "Later".

When you do the chores, do them as best as you can. Don't do a slipshod job, or do just the minimum you have to do to call it done.

As a parent, I know I'm much more likely to do something for my son if he does chores quickly and without delay, and without having to ask several times before it gets done. Try it - mom might be so surprised that she surprises you.

Bet I don't get a "best answer" for this one, though...
