This happened to me once. I boiled hot water...poured it on and used a spoon to /plastic spatula to loosen it..sucked it up with a wet/dry vac. Came out perfect. Good Luck. LL.

Do NOT use a reg iron with towel, wax paper, or anything. You'll just melt the wax into the couch.
Use a steam iron if you have one, and gently scrape away with something dull like a butter knife. After that take a washcloth that has soaked in hot water, and gently rub in a circular motion.
If you don't have a steam iron, then lay the washcloth that has soacked in hot water over the wax...this will soften it up enough to scrape off as mentioned before, without the risk of melting into the couch. If anything is left, do as before and rub with the hot washcloth in a circular motion.

Get brown paper either bags or parcel, place it over the wax, put an iron on low heat and carefully and repeatedly put it gently on the paper which will slowly absorb the wax, this takes a while but works on most surfaces.

Try ice, place a ice cube on the wax, leave it there for a minute or so then pick the wax off the material, same on the floor,it might work.

USE PAPERTOWEL OR A PAPERBAG AND PLACE IT OVER THE WAXY AREA AND TAKE A WARM IRON AND IRON IS PLACED ON TOP OF BAG/TOWEL AND IRON IT MAKE SURE THE SPOT YOU'VE IRONED DOESN'T GET IRONED TWICE IT'LL BE A MESS YOU MAY NEED MORE THAN GO AT THIS DEPENDING ON THE THICKNESS OF WAX.

Be careful with wood and a iron and water, steam. This may bubble your wood. Heat and water swell wood....
There is some great advice here I think ....
Good luck and dogs will be dogs. Cute aren't they lol!

try using an old rag and an iron
the heat will melt the wax and will stick to the rag--but if it is a bright color, watch out, the color may stay!
