All speculation and early rumors have Barry Alvarez, or Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano as front runners. Is Miami's defensive coordinator Randy Shannon in the running?
Despite Miami's troubles this year the Miami defense is ranked 6th in the country. That shows performance and discipline, at least on the defensive side of the football.

Whoever takes over should have MIAMI ties. That's what has made this program unique over the years despite their troubles. Alvarez - NO! Schiano - Doesn't want it. I'd love it if Jimmy came back, but I don't know?

Barry Alvarez? no way forget about him.

He'll come back to Wisconsin before he goes down to that mess down there.Plus his coaching days are behind him now. Steve Mariuci is out there (just a thought)

The rutgers should stay in rutgers after what he did this year. I think that the South Carolina coach (Spurrior) may take over.

well i think they should sign either spurrier or schiano spurrier said he was staying wit S.C. but then again Coker said he was staying wit Miami and the next day he's fired
