Do you have a Christmas tree in your house or apartment? If no, why not? If yes, why so?

I don't really want to know whether you have got one yet (though that is suer fine with me). I am wondering if you ever get a Christmas tree during the season or not.

We have a Christmas tree, we bought a pre-lit tree on sale two years ago. We set it up two weeks ago. Lmao, we've only got four ornaments on it. I was excited to put it up, but then I felt that it was too soon to decorate it, so we took our time doing so.

We have the tree, because of two reasons. 1. I love the season, and the ability to put up special ornaments and decorations specific to the time of year/celebration.
2. For six years my husband was in the military, (more than half of those years we did not know each other), most of the time he was either (a) alone or (b) overseas. When he was alone he didn't see any point in celebrating and when he was overseas he obviously couldn't do much in the way of a huge familial celebration.
SO, I have taken it upon myself to make Christmas as special and fun as possible for him, even if it means putting decorations up early. And since we are newlyweds, that will involve lots and lots of fun!

When I was growing up it depended on my Dad's mood during the holiday season. If we visited my Grandpa before Christmas (he sold real trees) then we would usually bring one home free of charge as my Dad was very cheap. He would bring it in the house and put it in the tree stand and then my sister, Mom, and I would decorate it from there. Sometimes, if we didn't have any lights that work, we would just put ornaments on it. We weren't dirt poor growing up, it was just very very dysfunctional.

Now, I put up a tree and go all out every year. I want to experience the Christmas', tree and all, that I never had. This year I have a 16 month old that is very excited about all of the lights and glitz. It's so much fun already to see the joy in her eyes. I can't wait until she opens the presents from Santa!

Nope, I gave it to the charity shop along with all the christmas decorations. My kids are adults and I cant be bothered with all that rubbish in my house. I never liked them anyway, I just did it for the kids....;

Here in greece we used to decorate ships, but now we do it in trees in plastic ones! I will prefer the ship but it seems very strange even to us!

No, I can't afford one. My mom can buy one but she refuses to. She hates spending money.
