ah! Years ago now but I had gone to spend Thanksgiving with my mother. She was alone. I tried to help her fix the dinner we were going to have. After about so long I couldn't fake it. Even Tylenol and whatever else I tried didn't help. The sad part of it was disappointing mom especially since she thought she had me to spend Thanksgiving with. I felt fine when I left to come to mom's house or I'd have stayed home. But I guess the worse part was her getting the flu later.

Yes.
Being sick always sucks but it's all the worse when it happens on a day you're spending with family and it's way worse if you have to travel.

I was sick at Christmas years ago. I was living in Atlanta and my parents lived in DC. I went on with my plans to fly to see them even though I knew I had a fever and was feeling really awful. I got on the plane, took a mega-dose of Nyquil, and managed to go to sleep. When I woke up, Santa Claus was standing right in front of me. I truly thought I was hallucinating, but it turned out that one of the flight attendants had dressed up like Santa (it was Christmas Eve) and happened to be standing right by my seat when I woke up. I'll never forget that.

When I was younger, I got a fever on Christmas morning. My parents waited for me to open presents later on.
