I just got my cast off about a week ago. I had it on at the elbow. My docter says I have 3 weeks to get my arm back into motion. It is really really stiff right now. Does anyone know some excersizes to do to help it. Does anyone know some techniques to make it go back in motion faster?? Is there a way to move it so that it won't hurt?? Please help me!!

First off your arm will hurt when you flex it as it has been motionless in a cast.Just do some small bending stretching excercises from your elbow down,as if you were, holding your hand out to shake someone hand.
1) flex your arm slowly about 5 times and then stop
2)place your elbow on a table and slowly stretch your arm as far as you can go. Don't I repeat don't force your arm any further than you can bend as you may end up re-injuring your arm.See if that works, which it should. Then gradually work your way up to more reps and your arm should flex all the way within a couple of weeks.Good Luck,I'm a Nurse....

lots cold packs & strech little at a time. cold packs work better than pills for me. my wife had a chair after surg. with a lift and each day or two you set it higher.

Ask your doctor. Probably the best thing to do is to just use it. Lift, twist, polish, throw, push, pull... use it.
