So I've been using tampons for a few months and its been going pretty smoothly. however, the other day when I went in to pull it out, it wouldnt come out. Getting a better look I realized that it seemed to be caugh on a piece of skin or whatever that was wrapped on the tip, and it took some coaxing to the side to get the tampon off. Now I tried one again yesterday and the same thing happened again. I'm sure I could just use my fingers to spread my opening and then reach in and pull it out and avoid whatever its being caught on, but what gives?

When the inside of your vagine is too dry, the cotton on the tampon can get 'stuck' to the skin.
A good way to avoid this is to lubricate either the tampon or yourself before inserting the tampon.
You can use KY Jelly for this - I've used my own saliva when no KY jelly was available, and it worked too.
I don't think using a different kind of tampon is of use here as they are all made out of cotton.
There is an alternative to tampons, however. It is a rubber/plastic sort of 'dish' you insert. It fits over your cervix and traps the blood there. You can then take it out when you're ready. These do not work well if a) you are bleeding very heavily or b) your uterus is tilted.
I would go with the lubrication. Good luck!

Sometimes a tampon will be resistant to removal when it is not quite full... If you leave the tampon in for the recommended amount of time or if you are bleeding heavily, the tampon will slide out easily. If you have to pull rather forcefully, try leaving it in for a little while longer.

I really don't know what is causing that. I would say that the skin it's getting caught on is you hymen, but I am not sure. I think you need to see a doctor to make sure though. I don't think switching brands is your answer, but you could try inserting it while in a different position that you have normally been in.

Happened to me once :) gf forgot she left it in, The sex was grear (mainly brcause she was) I had to play string miner. It was enbarassing bur harmless. ((aside from a later painful bruise on my you know))
Weeks later I proposed but don't think she didn't take it seriously. It was 28 years ago. I still often think of her.
