I would have to agree. They have just an average QB..average RB...just because they made the BCS championship 2 years in a row they got a high preseason ranking and didnt play anybody tough..Unlike rutgers who has the same record as USC they cant make it because they werent thought of before their win over louisville. Rutgers would deserve just as much a chance as USC. Just because Rutgers wasnt a football school they didnt want to rank rutgers very high.

Let's see - they lose the last two Heisman Trophy winners and still go 9-1 so far, only losing to an Oregon State team that is 8-4, all the while not playing every service academy or a very bad North Carolina team that scored more points against Notre Dame than they did against anyone else on their schedule but Furman. If OSU is sorry going 8-4, I'd hate to think what people would classify Michigan State as at 4-8, considering they had Notre Dame dead to rights and handed them a win.
In case you missed it, Notre Dame has no defense, and USC does (ask California). Evidence of this is the fact that Notre Dame has given up 25 TD's this season on defense, vs. 13 for USC. Trojans have more team speed in nearly every category than the Irish do.
Sorry, but USC wins this one big.

Whats up with all the haters!!?! USC is no different form any other college program except their riding the horse right now. Nebraska had their time, so did Miami. All the stuff you mentioned above is irrelevant. Sexual assult? are you serious. obviously you've never been an athlete at a D1 school. Hell a top prep athlete at that. The only thing that even registers on here is the Reggie Bush thing. What you fail to realize is that that had nothing to do with USC. it was about a poor kid and his family needing an advance on that future check. Sadly Bush will be the reason why the USC dynasty ends. They dont cheat. Carrol goes up to guys and says "you can be a starter in the NFL from our bench." (see Cassel and Lendale White)

the answer has two parts.
USC's defense is getting better and better. they shut down the high-powered offenses of oregon and cal. i believe they are strong enough to shut down notre dame's offense as well. USC's offense is also getting better. I believe that notre dame's secondary will not be able to contain dwayne jarrett and steve smith.
okay so USC lost to oregon state, but OSU is not that sorry as you put it. if you look at what they've done recently, they are an up and coming team.
and yes, notre dame lost to the #2 ranked team. but you had a huge scare against georgia tech, michigan state and ucla. then you guys played the mighty, mighty navy, army, air force, stanford and north carolina. with the exception of michigan and g-tech, you guys were practically playing HIGH SCHOOLS! no wonder you only have one loss.
so both teams have one loss. but look at the teams USC and notre dame have beat.
USC is better than notre dame because the trojans play better teams and win! you guys just play cream puffs!

USC football fills the void in Southern California for having no NFL team, so they get a lot of expectations and they play in a pro stadium that holds 92,000. So basically I am saying they are like a pro team.

USC didn’t weaken much from last year, they just reloaded. USC’s offense is too much for ND whose defense has more holes than Swiss cheese. The Trojan defense improves every game and the Irish offense can’t handle pressure

USC has the defense to beat OSU and enough offense. ND may not stay close.
