I don't trust him either... ever since day one that he came into power, he has been converting their new democracy into a dictatorship. His has changed many previous elected positions into 'assigned' positions... meaning he picks them and they are not elected.
But, I don't think he is trying to convert back to communism... rather, he is literally running a dictatorship.
Also, I believe that he has knowingly made all these changes while he knows the USA is distracted and preoccupied with Iraq.

Yes, Vladimir Putin will attempt a new coalition, but this time the players may be more wide spread than the old eastern bloc USSR. Country's such as Iran, Syria, Pakistan ?, Venezuela, Bolivia, Paraguay, Cuba, these are all potential possibilities. The old regime would fight like hell to avoid being under Putin's thumb because they have learned the evil of Russia's way. The newbie's are too stupid to learn from history and what it's like to be under Russia's thumb. Live and Learn ! Putin is attempting to revive the evil legacy of Joseph Stalin, the most hated man, besides Hitler, of the twentieth century. This is pretty clear evidence that his intentions are to bring back Stalin's style of government.

Putin has always had socialist leanings, corruption, and a tendency to lean away from an American-like democracy. I think the Russians will always have communism in their blood, its not that far fetched to think they'd like to return, after 1, maybe 2, presidents

No need for a revolution, soviet russia wasn't actually communist anyway, it was facist. Putin simply needs to tighten up the central governments control of the people and reinstate the power of the central government.

You don't have to have a revolution to return Russia to an ultra socialist state. Its possible that if the economy contiues to worsen in Russia there might be more socialist legilsation. but i don't believe there will be a complete communist takeover.

I do not trust him either. But why would he start a revolution, he's
already in charge. All he has to do is get rid of a few people who
would get in the way. That does not constitute a revolution.

I don't think that the murders of the spy and the reporter necessarily indicate that Putin is a Communist. Rather, I think it means that he's either a dictator or he's striving to become one. And you don't have to be a Communist to be a dictator!

I used to think that too. But I've heard he is not running for re-election, so if he is setting up the country for another revolution it will be for the next guy.

You're 12... right? Honestly you can't be this stupid and past that age.
Um, since Putin is the head of his country right now... I honestly don't think he'd want to have a revolution... It just doesn't make sense.
