They are always trying to get into my house. How are they surviving the cold nights? Shouln't even be around in late November....right??

Tough it is a bit late, its not unheard of, as long as they don't freeze they can survive just with a somewhat slow metalbolism, its been a rather warm Nov in the north east which may account for this, once the temp really plummets they will stop appearing. If its the ones shaped like a T its probably a plume moth, if not its probably some type of noctuid.

I live in canada, and I've seen those moths around also in the woods in the past week. It's quite odd, they just suddenly appeared, though it was quite cold, and there are still some around.
