Ronald Reagan confirmed what a real conservative is....by spending taxpayer earnings a responsible, Constitutional way, on the needed protection, he began the ending of the chilly conflict. Thank God for Obama, you would possibly want to bypass by hell to open some eyes. Republicans are growing more and more liberal-like of their huge gov't politics, because politics is an basic thanks to make money leeching off taxpayers. in case you imagine elections do not remember, they have now started to take heed to, and attend Tea activities. The left has been uncovered. stay tuned.

Yes they most certainly are. In past elections that is how Bush got back in. He used Christan values and morals to get the Christan's to vote for them. But the Christan's are tired of being used which became clear at the recent elections when the democrats took the house. A strong message was sent that they weren't going to be lied to anymore and used.

"Using ... just for ... votes" implies that the Republican politicians have no intention of delivering any policy changes once they are in office. But Congress has voted on the proposal to amend the Constitution to guarantee that marriage is defined as only between a man and a woman. There was a simple majority for the proposal, but not the necessary 2/3s majority which the Constitution requires. In regards to the abortion issue, Congress has already passed legislation to ban "partial-birth abortion," and it was signed by Bush. It sounds to me that Republicans are doing the best they can to fulfill their promises.

Elway the Cat,

If you are so good at detecting b.s., then I wish you would read the U.S. Supreme Court's decsions in Romer v. Evans and Lawrence v. Texas. Both of those decisions were written by Justice Anthony Kennedy, a Republican, and the worst b.s. artist on the Supreme Court.

Yes, I believe it was true, very true. During the 2004 election, I remember feeling a great deal of contempt for Bush over this. It was clear his campaign was reviving the whole same-sex marriage amendment to please the Evangelicals, when he knew full well it would never pass. He used them, and he used them shamelessly - that was just one example. My personal feelings were that they deserved it, but that's neither here nor there. So when that member of the "religion committee staff" penned that book it wasn't really a surprise to many people. It just confirmed what I had already been thinking of as his penchant for being a man of low character as long as he gets what he wants. It's always been one of my few talents - seeing people for who they are underneath all of the b.s. And my b.s. radar goes off every time that man opens his mouth.

No, instead, some Christians have chosen (because they are not sheep, and have the mental capacity to choose who they vote for) to cast their votes towards Republicans. Not all Christians vote Republican. Contrary to popular belief, not all Southern Baptists vote Republican. And remember, a good majority of African American churches vote Democrat. One cannot group all Christians into a voting bloc that solely votes Republican, nor can anyone group any group of people into a particular voting bloc

NO!! It is not true, most Christians subscribe to the Conservative views and therefore they vote Republican.

Sometimes it seems like it. However that may be hard to prove. Suspect Bush now wishes he had less contact with the reverend Haggerd..
