On occasion I still use a 3.5" drive. I had my new computer built with a 3.5" drive, but when I try to save to it, or access it, it says "insert disk into A drive" can anyone help.

go to DOS and typ this
c:\_ path
if you dont see the A still then check it out in the device manager...

Maybe it's just the disk that's the problem. Try another disk.
If that doesn't work, there's a possibility that there could be something wrong with the BIOS, or the cables that hook the floppy drive to the motherboard. If this is true, it's best not to try to fix it yourself.

sounds like the floppy disk needs to be formatted
