Dreft is a detergent on its own (not a stain remover like SHOUT or Spray'n'Wash).

It is really gentle, to avoid irritating baby's skin.

It's also a colossal waste of money.

I have two kids, and I used Tide from the day they were born. They were fine.

If your baby starts having skin problems, and the doctor suggests using fragrence/color free laundry detergent, use All Free and Clear, or one of the other additive free detergents out there that don't have elevated prices because they claim to be "for baby".

Dreft is a laundry detergent that is gentle on the skin. Recommended for sensitive skin such as a baby's. For stains nothing beats Shout.

Dreft is a special detergent to be used for baby clothes. It has no perfumes or additives to irritate baby's skin. Can be used with other detergents but why?
