Is McAfee good against Limewire viruses?

I'd like to download Limewire, but I'm kind of wary of the viruses I may pick up in the process. I just got a McAfee Internet Security Suite program (the 8 in 1 protection against viruses, spyware, hackers and spam, which also makes back up files, and secures your identity) and I'm wondering if this is good enough against Limewire. If not, what should I do? And how do you know whether or not what you're downloading from Limewire is harmful to your computer?

P2P sites are the easiest way to spread viruses! You need to get it in your head that the downloads on ANY of these sites comes from a total strangers PC! Not the site! Virus protection also gives one a false sense of security! There is no single anti virus software that detects everything. Your best bet? Go buy the music for the lousy ten bucks and rip it to your PC! Its alot cheaper than takin your PC in to have it cleaned! I will gaurantee at some point you will become infected!

No, antivirus is 100% safe against limewire or any PSP files that contain viruses. Best practice if safe web surfing and even the most expensive software won't help if you don't practice that.
