I ask because a friend of mine told me that a pastor she knew believed that that's how his daughter got pregnant! Can he seriously believe that? Is it even possible?

Like the others have said the chlorine would kill the sperm off. If that pastor believed that is how his daughter got pregnant, I think he needs to go back to school and I sure wouldn't be asking him any of lifes questions. But hey, she could have had sex in the pool with her boyfriend but I can say he didn't just spread his seed in the water like the fish do. He planted it in a specific place. So in that case yes, a girl can get pregnant in a pool.

Absolutely not. The sperm would die immediately due to the chemicals and temperature of the water in a pool. This pastor is naive. He doesn't want to believe that his daughter had intercourse. Eventually, she will tell the truth. You can't get pregnant unless you have intercourse or artificial insemination. Any advice to the contrary is false.

Impossible because sperm cannot live outside the body but for a couple of minutes. Pastor probably wants to believe that hid daughter was not doing the nasty but it's impossible.

No, that's almost impossible, especially in a pool with Chlorine, because the chemicals would kill the sperm. Even in a lake, it would be incredibly unlikely, even if she was very, very close to the man without penetration (if you know what I mean...). Plus you factor in that a woman is only fertile about 24 - 48 hrs per month...I truly doubt it!

I doubt it. I think the chlorine in the pool would kill the sperm between point A and point B. Unless point A and B were connected.

No. The chlorine in the pool would kill any "seed" in the pool.
