Lately at work (I work in the hotel industry), our scores have been really low. My front office manager came to me tonight and told me that I really need to start paying attention because I am making simple mistakes. She also said she is talking to everyone, I am not the only one. It just made me feel REALLY low and worthless. Anyone else gone through this and felt this way? I need cheering up guys. Nice answers need only apply. Thank you!!

wow I just had my evaluation just like 5 minutes ago and it kind of was the same.. I WORK IN A BANK so I have to work on being more cheerful. The only thing that I can suggest is that when you are at work, concentrate on work and nothing else. That is just what I was just telling myself.. ahh you will be OK, Don't be so hard on yourself.. it is not like you are not going to work and just sitting at home doing nothing.. you made a few mistakes it is OK.. u are human.. sooo don't be so hard on yourself and just concentrate on your work for those hrs that u are there and nothing else OK! Don't worry it will all work out!
keep your head up!~***

First things first. When your boss says those things, don't take it to mean you're less than you were before the statement. The next part is that it's coming up on the year end business mode. Company's are always looking for year end cost cutting ideas to pass up the ladder. The fact that the 'conference room brainstorm' has amounted to little more that a stiff wind is beside your point though. Bosses sometime do and say things because of unrelated events. So, don't be down about this. Re-enforce your reasons for being where you are and why you're doing what you're doing. Good luck

Actually companies are looking for team players in your field.Part of the job is being accountable for our job description. The person who is willing to take constructive criticism, with a smile and put the information to good work,is eventually noticed for their perseverance,if not good attitude. You have to remember your do is not your who.I recall a favorite saying,Generosity, is changing one's focus from self to others. This is your field, yes?Be of good cheer, step up to the challenge. You are becoming who you will be.

I'd go home and crank up some great music.. A little Aretha Franklin or Rod Stewart may be all you need.

Don't worry, crap runs down hill and she is just passing on what she was told by her bosses.
I know it makes you feel bad, perk up and you will be fine. Just do your job and keep it real.
