We are compelled, as we put up with the same old moans and witterings from you wimmin!!
Yes Dear
No Dear
I'm trying to find it dear but it smells.
Thank God for Eurosport.
*My dear susie says it's because blokes hang on to the past and look back rather than forward. I told her to shut up, bath the dog and go get me a six pack from the Offie!!!
Joke guys, honest!
I really think blokes do like a rose tinted view of life and a fave movie will compound that view. Me, I love bikes and mini's (real ones, not the BMW imposters of recent years) and therefore have very polarised views on those subjects. Blokes have attitude and conditioned views whereas women have a more sympathetic but blinkered (towards blokes) view of blokey things but an EMPATHIC view of Lady probs. B4 you all give me grief, we have been happily married for 19 yrs and Susie agrees with all of the above!!
Edit; Sue says I have to tell you that I am a daft old sod and I tell her I luv her loads most days.
Bugger.
Bang goes the macho "Scr3w U" image!!!!!

Not just men, dearie ... this lady has seen Strictly Ballroom about 9 times, The Sound of Music at least a dozen times, the same for Pride and Prejudice the series, and the film 3 times ... High Fidelity 4 times, Twister 6 times (by default, my fella likes watching that one, he's seen it at least a dozen times), the original Star Wars trilogy all at least a dozen times (not the shite made in the 1990s, the REAL Star Wars), Ten Things I Hate About You 5 times (such a nice film) ... that's all I can think of now.
Don't think I've ever seen Escape from Alcatraz. Is it any good?

I confess that I do this sometimes as well and i'm not a man, but not old films though, my dad must of seen Dr Strangelove tons of times and Independence day, I vacate the room swifly when I know its the return of these films once again, it gets so bad you learn the script off by heart and you end up saying the dialogue out loud while your watching them.

Girls do it, too - it's just that the choice of film is not always the same. I know a woman who's seen "Pretty Woman" more times than I've seen almost any other film (including "Aliens").
Now, of course, if I could meet a woman who was as into watching "Aliens" over and over asI am ...

Well I enjoy watching my favourite movies over and over. Normally its because I enjoyed the character interaction and the movies gives me a warm fuzzy feeling...or it was because my parents wanted me out of their hair and sent me to the cinema...one summer I saw Back to the Future 3 15 times....
But a lot of films do contain items you never notice first time in...maybe men are just pedantic at trying to get everything :-)
BTW watch Airplane...then watch it again...then again...I swear it just gets funnier...and you keep on noticing something new in it everytime!

While I was in a tiny village in Southern Italy long ago, a mobile cinema came. So almost the whole village went to see the Movie EVERY NIGHT!
By Thursday they knew virtually the whole script, and said the dialogue loudly, a second or so, before the actors on screen. It was hilarious!!!!

The first time round we just manage to follow the storyline and can remember the conclusion. The following times we can pick up on extra detail such as character names etc.
Went to see Casino Royale last night, I just cannot remember the name of the girl in it!? lol

Sorry but it's not just men it's women too.
I am very guilty of this. I have lots of videos and DVDs I watched many times each, yet i have 9 new DVDs awaiting removal of the cellophane wrapper.

I have never seen that film... I know it stars Burt Lancaster, but my mate Chris insisted it was not him. Needless to say we lost the pub quiz that night.
As a kid I used to watch films repeatedly. Nowadays I don't usually have time.

because men hear a big word in a film and have to keep watching it over and over again to understand its meaning.......its a bit like 'wil u do the washing up' etc it has to be repeated several times
