Let me explain something about the informative speech. At my school we do 30 speeches over a weeks span. After a while they get really boring. Do something interesting or mindbending. Do not do government stuff, diseases, long term drug effects, etc. Do aliens, UFOs, Big Foot, Ghosts, Haunted Places, or Real Ghost Busters. What would you want to hear?

effects of ice melts on currents & weather
changes in Rainforest

why money & greed is so important that leaders will grab any excuse to discredit the changes despite the fact that they are condemning their offspring

I once did a presentation on Lifesavers. the candy with the hole.
I did a bit of research and found out all kinds of things like why it has a hole in it. why they are called lifesavers, who invented them, why they are wrapped in foil and paper, how much they originally cost etc etc etc. When I did it computers were not invented and all telephones had cords on them so it should be a snap for you.
