I pity the fool who is your boss.

This is only regarding white collar jobs like office jobs or receptionists.

I know Christmas eve falls on a Sunday but this question refers to when it occurs on a weekday, Mon-Fri.

fortunately that are few white collars who have to work any holidays the blue collars of this world are the ones who have to work at all hours on any days and yet they are the ones who get paid the least and written about the least so if you are white collar and have to work don't think of it as punishment just think of it as joining those who really make a difference in the work world one grimy low paying job at a time

Why just white collar jobs?

I deliver christmas parcels for the Canadian post office.

It makes people's christmas to get their gifts just in time.
Last year I delivered a family's personalised stockings on Christmas eve. Mom was so relieved.
The company took their order in August but didn't send them until the 21st of december.

Thanks for the pity but the gratitude does more for me.

Not I! And isn't Christmas Eve on a Sunday this year anyway?

ADDITIONAL: Well if you're talking years in the future than who knows? Oh wait, I know. I never have too! In fact my office just closed for Wednesday-Friday over Thanksgiving!!
