Classic Sore Throat Remedy #1: Honey and lemon - put a couple tablespoons of honey and sqeeze a lemon in boiling water and drink it every couple of hours

Classic Sore Throat Remedy #2: Mix two teaspoons apple cider vinager in a glass of warm water. Take a mouthful, gargle with it, and spit it out, then swallow a mouthful; gargle a mouthful, spit it out, and swallow a mouthful; gargle mouthful and so on until there's no more liquid in the glass. Repeat the process once an hour. By the third or fourth hour, the sore throat is usually gone.

Classic Sore Throat Remedy #3: Dissolve a heaping teaspoon of salt (Kosher salt is preferred; table salt will do) in a glass of warm water and gargle with it

Other Remedies:
-Eat a few slices of fresh pineapple. A grapefruit can be effective too or grapefruit juice.

-throughout the day drink horehound tea (available at health food stores). Steep teaspoon of herb in a cup of just-boiled water then strain and drink when cool.

-Suck an olive. Remove the pit and keep the meat of the olive in your mouth until you finally chew it and swallow it. Then take another olive.

Oh and do prevent another sore throat throw away your toothbrush after one and get a new one. (Bacteria live in it and can reinfect you).

Here's a reflexology point to help relieve the rawness of an inflamed throat: Massage deep into the weblike area between the thumb and the index finger.

Also in a Reflexology book I read to stick tongue out and with a clean cloth between the fingers take hold of the tongue and pull it as far as it will go and move it slowly from one side to another for a few minutes. (It's also good for the vocal chords and can make you have a beautiful voice!)

Here's what I've found to work best on sore throats.

1. Drink a TON of hot apple cider. Hot chocolate tea works too, but I've found cider to work the best.

2. Gargle salt water. About the grossest taste you'll have, but it will numb it a little bit.

3. Load up on the Vitamin C, it helps your immune system. Also, try some herbs.

Just make sure you don't end up with strep.

The cheapest, best remedy for a sore throat is hydrogen peroxide. Yes, it's nasty tasting but gargling with it for one minute every hour on the hour as soon as you get a sore throat does work. I got this advice many years ago from a woman I worked with when I was just a teenager. I thought it was goofy then, but I tried it and never ever would use anything else. For less than a buck, it's just the best!!

a friend once gave me a mixture of Brandy, lime and some honey and it works...... also just plain gurgling of warm water with salt if its on the early stage works too..... if on advance stage maybe the best is to see the doctor have some antibiotic.
