Maybe we wouldn't believe this if radicals didn't represent your nation. Your country's radical leadership is not exactly a shining example of the Iranain people.

Well since the people most infleuncing our culture today were hippies/rebels in the 1960's (they did things that would never be allowed in your country) who believe they were being brainwashed, they have gotten so weird in what they try and brainwash toiday's kids with they are rebelling too. No one really wants war or to tell other countries what to do, but everyone getting nuclear bombs to threaten each other means inevitable accident or attack resulting in a extinction level even for the whole world. No one here is brainwashed into thinking that death is a good thing, or that a Creator who can create or destroy with a thought needs people to kill in His name. To some any form of religion is "brainwashing" and they refuse to believe in a religion at all, blaming religions for being the cause of most wars. The most important remedy to brainwashing is daring to think for yourself, question and explore, it may not be safe to say or write it, but just try and look at any issue from both sides.

Most American do not think Iranians are all terrorist. The president of Iran however is a terrorist and a nut. If he is not kept in check, he will get a lot of Iranians killed.

like all nations, there are certain beliefs that are held by the culture, but alot of what is portrayed by the international media is more of the political viewpoint with key shots to back it up.

I live in Australia, and see the same type of stories too, but generally people in the USA are rather tolerant of different races and beliefs systems. They are just more outspoken than other cultures and unfortunately it is always the extremists that make good television.

No more than any other people, we are all brainwashed by our parents, teachers, religious leaders, and government. Some of their teachings are valid and some need to be discarded, blind faith will give you the same life your parents have, you just need to choose what kind of life you want.
