why is that Daniel Craig in the movie appears old when he is only 38 years old. It looks like he is 50. Any explanation for that? maybe because he is british or smoked a lot?

Nope. Bond has to have the polished look of a man who went to an elite private school as a boy. Daniel Craig is a little coarse--more like your average working class guy. But time will tell if audiences share my thoughts. Don't get me wrong--Craig is a fine actor--but I can't see him in the role any more than Tom Hanks was the right actor for "The DaVinci Code." Wrong casting there, too, IMHO.

I think they were going for the ruggid idea, i doubt the directors and makeup artists were aiming for Bond looking fifty as much sa they were looking for him to look, suave, yet a little mroe ruggied, hands on and manly than Brosnan did. I think Craig is the hottest bond by a long shot, i see no other fair comparison.

I think he smokes and spent a lot of his childhood outdoors. He's got a very rugged sex appeal, and he may grow on me as Bond...we'll see.
