I want to search the Web using a search pane to the left-hand side of the screen. I recently downloaded Internet Explorer 7.0, and found that you must enable it to allow search engines to use the search pane. I did this, I then rebooted, but I'm STILL not getting my search pane (or, sidebar). Please help. This is so annoying! Thank you.

Microsoft purposely did not add the ability for your search results to appear in the left sidebar/pane.

I am not sure what you were told or heard, but this is unfortunately not possible at this time. They decided during design considerations for IE7.

Your search bar should be on the upper right hand side - right next to the red X.
