I have a 300w micro ATX power supply and want to change it to a 450 w power supply for my video card requirements of 450 watts and a 6 pin pci-X connector. Can I put a ATX power supply in and not a micro ATX? HP m7640n computer(brand new).

The reason it's micro is so that it fits in your case. If a normal sized power supply will fit, it shouldn't matter.

Without looking inside your case and do some measurements it's impossible to tell. I'm sure you can grab a ruler and do the measurements yourself.
