The Fault always rests on our shoulders. Most of the time, people can come into your lives and ruin it a bit, but we have the power to live how we want...we shouldnt blame others so much.

As harsh as it sounds, it's our own fault. Our minds have the power to create and attract the things we want in life, if we decide to use our mind in this way.
There's a great movie regarding this, that recently came out, called "The Secret" that is very much worth watching.

maybe a mix of yours and your circumstances
people's circumstances and life shape them a lot more than they want to admit ;)
your parents, what happens to you, how much money you have and the people around you shape your opinions and beliefs. even what you hear on the news, which is why everyone liked bush after 9/11 and re-elected him.
