Whats the scaryiest thing that's ever happened to you?

My son caught pneumonia before the age of one, just as we were on a road trip across the country. We were in the middle of Montana in the winter, it was snowing like crazy, and it was about 80 miles to the next hospital. He wasn't breathing well and could have died. We finally got him to the hospital and he spent the next 7 days in an oxygen tent. The day we got out of the hospital to continue our journey, our car broke down. Thank God that didn't happen while we were looking for the hospital!

Walking down a hotel drive on the I.0.W a guy
appeared from no where 6 feet from me,then
walked through the drive hedge.It was only after I'd ran down the hedged lane at the bottom of the drive and stopped, so i wouldn't
p i ss myself .That i thought.He must have walked through the opposite hedge as well.Found out
later a father(Victorian-i was to shocked to notice)was looking for a son he had kept locked in
one of the top rooms of the then house.

I was going to San Fransisco from Hawii with my dad and my older brother in a plane 4 years ago during a storm late at night and we crashed on an island. No one was hurtbut we had to wait for the storm to clear up at like 2:00 in the morning befor they would send a rescue for us. I was only 7 at the time.
The whole thing didn't really make since to me that well, and it still doesn't. But it scared the crap out of me.

I got lost walking back to camp on a dark forest road. Finally I saw the lights of the cabins down the road, but I also heard what sounded like footsteps coming up behind me. I turned and I saw what looked like a very tall man in a black cape and old fashioned top hat walking quickly toward me, his hands outstretched as if we was going to grab me. I turned and ran. I am on our track team so I really turned on everything I've got. I jumped over a creek and a fence and made it to the door of the cabin. I got inside, slammed the door and locked it. My roommates were shocked to see me because they said I was almost albino white. We all looked outside and saw the man standing at the edge of the road. He seemed to turn and just run away. The cops came but they never found a thing. I went home in two days and have never gone back.

Being trapped in a derelict cinema by a bunch of boys when I was about 13. I kept running up and down stairs and round corners to get away from them, nearly every door was locked tight and they'd appear from nowhere. They knew the layout, must have used it as a meeting place. It was like a dream or nightmare sequence. One of the boys took pity on me and I got out unscathed but the rest of them thought it was a great joke.

I'm not being mysterious or funny or anything, but the scariest thing that's ever happened to me is so scary, I don't want to think about it. Let's just say I got four poisonous spider bites (Not deadly or anything - just really painful and gross), we almost lost my mum and we could have been eaten by crocodiles.

picking up the phone in the middle of the night to find out that my husbands simi truck was in an accident, and not being able to get ahold of him till the next day! Thank god he is ok and no one else was hurt.

i fell into the sea while parasiling, the wind totally blew me off... i cried and had high fever later. i also swallowed petrol when the speedboat driver tried to pull me up to the boat and lost my voice for a day!!! it happened in Thailand, i was only 16.
