It should say EOE which stands for equal opportunity employer.Since it says EOD maybe that stands for equal opportunity department. So only part of the company doesn't hire people according to race etc. If so, you should reconsider whether you want to work for such a company. but I'm just guessing about this deffinition. Call the company annomously and ask them for yourself.

I've know a few, and most have missing fingers and lots of scars.

If it is a military (Navy) job it means explosive ordnance disposal. It's like the bomb squad.
